The Raytheon UK Weapons team has a fantastic opportunity for a new engineer to join and assist in delivering complex and high-profile programmes to customers based in the UK. As a result of new contracts, the engineering team is rapidly growing and therefore we are looking for a motivated Systems Engineer with a background in system development, certification and qualification with a keen interest in weapon systems.

The role will be based at Raytheon’s Harlow facility, as part of a Hybrid model with the opportunity to work from home some of the time. The successful candidate will have access to professional development opportunities and be part of the growing Defence Business in Raytheon UK, delivering engineering expertise across a wide range of projects to both military and civil customers worldwide.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Aerospace or other STEM area
  • Demonstratable experience using MathWorks toolsets such as MATLAB and Simulink to design subsystems and software components.
  • Keen analytical approach to solving complex problems
  • Eligible or holder of current SC security clearance

Desirable:

  • Relevant commercial experience in model based design
  • Weapon systems domain knowledge and/or experience in a similar field
  • Relevant model based system engineering experience and/or knowledge
  • Familiarity with software auto code generation and/or C/C++ code design (or other Applicable)
  • Experience in use of Software development environments and associated Configuration management and task management tools.
  • Experience in Weapon System/Subsystem/Software Qualification or Certification.

Relevant:

  • Experience of Model based testing or case test generation and verification.
  • Experience of requirements management within a requirements editor tool.
