Altera, an Intel Company, is seeking to recruit an experienced hardware engineer in FPGA technology and RTL coding in our Marlow office.As part of the engineering section of the Cloud Enterprise and Acceleration Division, you will take part in showcasing the capabilities of Altera’s FPGA to top and strategic customers.

You will work alongside a team consisting of software, hardware and verification engineers. You will bring additional knowledge to the team and will be expected to work with other members, coaching more junior colleagues when necessary.

Your specific role will include the following:

  • Understand the high level requirements of our customers current and future needs.
  • Architect solutions that will showcase and enable those requirements.
  • Implement the solutions in RTL (SystemVerilog) or other high level language.
  • Implement testbenches and verify the function of the IP.
  • Perform hardware validation.
  • Own or participate in the release process of the project.
  • Interact with customers, partners, other engineering groups within Altera.

Qualifications:
  • BS in Electronics Engineering or equivalent with significant relevant experience in networking technologies.
  • Experience in FPGA, ASIC or ASSP.
  • Must have good presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Background in networking, compute acceleration and AI connectivity
  • Strong experience with Altera FPGAs
  • Should be proficient in the use of FPGA development tools.
