- Supply Chain Management (SCM): Purchase and make decisions that result in the efficient cost of ownership including:
- Adhering to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Standard Purchasing Process
- Building purchase orders and working with expediting team to coordinate the lifecycle of a purchase order from requisition receipt to supplier payment
- Selecting an appropriate source of supply
- Determining the accurate price that should be paid
- Leading request for quote (RFQ) sourcing events
- Optimize inventory purchasing by leveraging economies of scales across BUs, facilitating transactional automation, providing purchasing analytical insights and strategy proposals for repetitively purchased material
- Strategically source, propose pricebook additions and handle contracts for consistently purchased inventory materials
- Communicating efficiently with suppliers and client groups
- Developing in-depth knowledge of assigned purchasing categories
- Reviewing and concurring authority for purchases up to $100,000
- Identifying and implementing process improvement activities
- Specialize in transactional processes and provide system utilization guidance for efficient transactional activities
- R2P: Representing and advocating on behalf of GST regarding the efficient execution of the Requisition-to-Pay (R2P) process
- Collaboration: Functioning as a key member of the Global Shared Services Purchasing Team and promoting cross-team collaboration
- Cost Control/Value Creation: Guiding and directing client groups on how to efficiently transact business with the GST buying team
- Supplier Management: Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key suppliers to facilitate supplier performance in support of operations
- Compliance: Ensuring all SCM services are conducted as per ConocoPhillips Supply Chain Policy, including all proper documentation, use of systems, approvals, and communications
- Problem Solving: Ability to determine root cause issues and effectively communicate corrective action to vendors, stakeholders or other team members.
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- 3 or more years of experience in purchasing or related field
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Admin/Mgmt, Supply Chain, other related field, or foreign equivalent
- 3 or more years of experience in the oil and gas industry
