Job Description Qualifications:

The role and importance of commercial aerospace lessors continues to expand. The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Leasing Sales team is seeking a seasoned Sales professional to support the selling of the BGS services portfolio to the growing lessor customer segment.

The position will have full sales responsibility including identifying, developing, and selling services that meets the customer’s requirements; managing the customer relationships, and serving as the customer’s advocate within Boeing. The position will be located in either Dublin, or London.

Candidate Background, Skills, and Characteristics:

The successful candidate will a technical background in modifications related to Boeing aircraft, as well as an understanding of the modification’s proposal process.  Working experience with the airplane leasing community a plus but not required.  The successful candidate must be adept at working across integrated product teams (IPT) and Boeing business units as well as . be energized by learning, driven to understand the customer needs and what creates value for the customer.

Overview of responsibilities:

  • Develop in depth customer/market knowledge across multiple market domains to lead the development of capabilities/solutions and offerings to meet external customer needs
  • Develop and maintain superior customer relationships
  • Understand lessors needs and how they conduct business for their segment of the airline industry
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships across Boeing Commercial Airlines and Boeing Global Services to support campaign activity and serve as customer’s internal advocate
  • Own Responsibility, Accountability, and Authority for the development, management, and execution of new business campaigns and retaining existing won business
  • Monitor proposal status to ensure timely responses
  • Take Responsibility for campaign lessons learned (LL) – review of historic lessons, capture of new lessons and a champion of the LL process
  • Leverage campaigns to understand further market opportunities
  • Anticipate customer requirements and manages customer expectations

Preferred experience and qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) in technical field such as engineering, mathematics, or aerospace or in a commercially-related field, such as business or economics
  • A minimum of five years (or more) of experience in customer-focused airline industry role.
  • A minimum of five years (or more) of successful experience operating in commercial aerospace, such as commercial airline, airframe manufacturing, or aircraft lessor business environments
  • Experience interacting directly with customers in the capacity of customer advocate.
  • 3+ years of management/strategy consulting experience or similar background
  • Masters of Business Administration, advanced degree in economics or finance, and/or equivalent work experience
  • Educational background and work experience that combines an economic and technical understanding of commercial aerospace including lifecycle aircraft economics
  • Understanding of the current commercial aerospace services market land-scape
  • Understanding of Boeing’s existing services portfolio, market positioning, and organizational structure
  • Proven understanding of airlines, aircraft leasing, and the broader commercial aerospace finance industry
  • Experience negotiating price, schedule, service levels, and terms with customers, lessors, suppliers, and/or partners
