Job Purpose

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the month close activities. Ensuring allocated tasks are completed timely and accurately in a strong control environment. The role helps to deliver the Finance vision of a “world class finance function recognized by industry, the profession and our people” which underpins the GSK vision.

Sufficient financial acumen to ensure that postings to the financial statements are reasonable and accurate. The role also needs to be able to accurately implement controls & compliance.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Diploma – Accounting and /or Finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Finance) OR equivalent work experience.
  • 0 to 1 year of experience
  • Proficient within Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent data accuracy skills, eye for detail, and commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Pro-actively identify the issues and take actions
  • Strong communicator, both verbally and written, able to clearly explain policies and issues to internal and external customers

  • You will be responsible in either of the areas of Close & Control including but not limited to Fixed assets, Intercompany accounting, Balance sheet reconciliations, master data management and month close.
  • Support and perform month end accounting, preparation and posting of journals and allocations entries into GL, posting accrual and manual entries were required
  • Review and Support Monthly/quarterly reconciliations of Intercompany accounts and ensure all reconciling items are followed up on a timely basis, prepare and submit cross charge in the requisite ERP, monitor to identify and correct errors or incorrect standards applied to COGS.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations for Fixed Assets and Material subledger, resolve any discrepancies arising due to SL and GL reconciliations, action open items in accordance with company policy
  • Perform management & operational reporting – monthly MIS, Transaction Listings, Flash reports, Expense/FTE reports, Monthly performance Dashboard, Revenue reports, consolidated P&L reports, management packs to support of monthly/ quarterly senior leadership meetings GSK Data Entry Jobs Work From Home In UK
  • Critical support for analysis and decision making by providing consolidated snapshot post’ month end close as per the requirement
  • Performing deliverables aligned on forecast reporting
  • Support and perform Close and Control month/quarter activities per the close calendar and work stream being supported, perform variance analysis, write commentaries on actuals vs forecast / budgets to identify the key drivers and help the business to make decisions
