We are seeking a highly skilled GCP data engineer with expertise in AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and GCP services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database engineering and a passion for developing robust and scalable data solutions. As a GCP Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients’ database systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

  • Design, implement, and manage database solutions using AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and various GCP services.
  • Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and performance tuning to support high-volume data processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide database solutions that meet business needs.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and availability of database systems by implementing best practices for data management.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions to ensure optimal system functionality.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database engineering and cloud services, particularly within the GCP ecosystem.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • I have proven experience as a database engineer with expertise in AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and GCP services.
  • Strong understanding of database design principles, indexing, partitioning, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and database performance tuning.
  • Experience with data migration, ETL processes, and data integration across different platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP),.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.

Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
