Job Description:
Department: Financial Aid
The Associate Director of Financial Aid oversees the proper disbursement of institutional and federal funds. This position will collaborate with various departments across the system such as IT, School Registrar’s, HR, Academic Record and Admission, Finance & Accounting. This position will supervise a group of Financial Aid Specialists. This position reports to the VP of Student Finance.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains Title IV compliance for five affiliated colleges.
- Oversee the Campus Based Funding program (Federal Work Study).
- Administers institutional loans, grants, and scholarships.
- Partner with the AVP of Compliance on the yearly single audit.
- Test regulatory upgrades on internal financial aid systems.
- Configure the FAA automation process for originations, origination changes, and disbursement eligibility.
- Perform internal audits on financial aid files to ensure regulatory and state compliance.
- Administer the NSLDS enrollment reporting audit to ensure accuracy.
- Provide and maintain SAIG enrollment access.
- Train and develop new and existing staff.
- Manage student separation process for all Withdrawal, Leave of Absence, and Dismissed students.
- Compose the FAMS file monthly and upload it to the IONTuition Loan Servicer vendor portal.
- Generate the FAH file using the NSLDS file layout and upload the response files to the IONTuition loan servicer vendor portal.

- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Proficient in Excel and MS Word.
- Proficient in COD, NSLDS, CPS-FAA, SAIG, Ed Connect, ElmOne and Open Net systems.
- Strong knowledge of Title IV and financial regulations.
Position Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of financial aid experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a centralized financial aid office operation
- Bachelor’s Degree.

Compensation & Benefits
This opportunity is budgeted at $70,000 – 74,000 base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
